This module is aimed for general practitioners who have a keen interest in soft tissue surgery or those in first opinion practice who simply want to get an update on the most commonly found tumours in small animal practice.
The key learning objectives for this module are to…
- Refresh the underlying principles of surgical oncology
- Revise the surgical approaches for the most common skin and subcutaneous tumours: the mast cell tumour and soft tissue sarcomas
- Revise the most commonly used skin reconstructive techniques used in practice
- Recognize the difference between cats and dogs when it comes to mammary tumours and how this affect your treatment
- Revise the current options for anal gland tumors and musculo-skeletal tumours with particular emphasis on the anal gland adenocarcinoma and the appendicular osteosarcoma.
This module will be taught in English.
It is strongly recommended to have completed the theoretical module on Surgical oncology before participating in the practical module.
